Is there an effective, but reasonable way to get a song that is "stuck in my head" out of my head? How?

I cannot stop thinking about and "virtually hearing" (in the correct key) Rachmoninoff's Concerto in C Minor. This used to happen to me all of the time when I was a high school student several years ago. Back then it was so overwhelming that I could barely read (although I was able to write English compositions quite well) because all I could think about was a song that was "stuck" in my mind. Now, at 33, it is happening again, although reading while having the song in my mind is not as difficult as it once was.

Wow, the weirdest thing just happened. The song stopped for about 30 seconds. But now its back again!

Sing or listen to another song.
Reply:hey if you find out how to banish the song clue me in..I get stuck on them too. the best luck I have had is singing another song until the first one goes away, but i am so likely to get stuck on the new one.. whew good question.
Reply:if you have an ipod or cd player, set it to play at random and listen to it on the lowest volume as you go to sleep. the random songs will sink into your sub-concious mind and... viola! problem solved
