How many people got pregnant using a condom and no other type of b/c. how effective are condoms

Condoms are 99% effective when used properly. I think that in the general population, condoms are closer to 85% efffective like the otther answerer said. Condoms can break for example, or have small perforations, etc and semen could get through.
Reply:condoms break... nothing is 100% effective unless you just don't have sex. I have a little cousin that was just born as a result of a broken condom...

Reply:I think condoms are supposed to be effective to the high 90% or so (maybe 97 or 98) However, keep in mind that they are also only as effective as their user. If guy or gal doesn't know how to use it properly, your effectiveness % decreases drastically.
