I'm thinking about getting the meningitis C vaccine, will this effect my birth control pill?

Will this effect how effective my birth control pill is at all? for a couple of days or anything? did someone ask their doctor?

Most -- if not all -- inoculations against infectious diseases should not effect or interact with contraceptive effectiveness.

However, if you are concerned then certainly ask your doctor PRIOR to being injected or treated with ANY medication.
Reply:No, there shouldn't be a problem. You can check with the doctor/nurse at the time of the shot to check. Its only not recommended if you're actually pregnant so they'll ask you about the date of your last period. If you have a fever or are hypersensitive to vaccines thats another reason to check with a doctor first. Do have the vaccine, it protects against a serious illness for a little pain.
Reply:do you mean hepatitis C vaccine? it won't affect birth control
