Is Washington, D.C., mixing religion and politics a little too much?

Should Americans simply be given an easy choice of:





Voting for the head of Islam, a foreign country, Saudi Arabia (Mecca), as the head of all the United States





or





voting for the head of a foreign country, the Vatican, Italy, as head of the United States?





This would save American politicians millions of campaign dollars they use today to associate a religion, such as Mormonism, with their would be White House?





Would that be cost effective and productive?

Is Washington, D.C., mixing religion and politics a little too much?
secularization should be the rule! Politics and religion don't belong together..
