i would say all of the above but the most cost effective is answer B
Reply:Purchase the fastest computer on the market.

I am for small upgrades, but for cost effectiveness and system performance at the same time - might as well get the set.

All the parts have to be in sync with each other and there's always compatibility issues when upgrading....and I would value your time finding out which part will make things tick more....

Good luck.... ;)
Reply:F) An entirely new system... or

G) Build one yourself and get all the good parts.

upgrading prebuilts isn't worth it. If you're going to swap mobos and everything you might as well just build a new one.
Reply:D, because this is what makes cpu's 'tick'. Go to Howstuffworks.com, and Hardwaresecrets.com,(click on Cpu's, at the top), for a more in-depth explanation,(or just trust me)
Reply:Well first you start by looking at the CPU socket type on your current motherboard. The new CPU has to match the socket type. Start from there and look at the prices. If you go with buying a new motherboard, the chances of you needing to buy a new CPU are pretty good.

I use www.newegg.com or tigerdirect.com when I shop for computer parts.
Reply:If you know how to replace all of those components then yeah, I say try it. I am all for upgrading my computer as much as I can before I go out and purchase a new one.
Reply:lol ... computer 'law' states that comps will double in power, speed, etc every 18 months. by the time you 'upgrade' to those expensive new parts, you've could've bought a whole new CPU for about the same price.
Reply:It depends on what you do with it. for most people. A decent CPU speed, good motherboard speed, lots of RAM, fast Internet connection and a good sized hard drive is about enough.

Fastest CPU/motherboard is good for gamers and graphics people but not cost effective for most people.
