A- 8-10

B- 10-12

C- 12-15

D- at least 15

In weight lifting, averaging 3 sets of ____ reps are suggested to be effective in building muscular endurance?
D. Anything above 15 reps is used for muscular endurance. 1-4/6 is for muscular power/strength (depends how u train at this range), 7/8-15 is for muscular hypertrophy (increase in size), and above 15 is muscular endurance. However, there still will be some muscle hypertrophy at this range but not much.
Reply:Using 1-5 reps per set primarily builds strength and power. Using 6-12 reps per set is best for overall muscle development and fat loss. Using greater than 12 reps per set primarily builds muscular endurance.
Reply:you want to lift about 50% of you max, for endurance that is, so 'c', but if its strenth you want then 75% and 'a'
Reply:C
Reply:As far as endurance and being more defined I would say 15 to 20....that should not increase body mass, but would trim it.....down....I hope that this helps.
Reply:a
Reply:1-5=Muscular strength

6-12=Muscular hyperplasia(building muscle)

13+ =Muscular endurance
Reply:Endurance? D, though I usually do C
Reply:A
Reply:C.

By endurance I believe you want to be able to work longer, lean out and burn, not really strength/bulk building.
