What CAN I eat and WHAT is the very best effective exercises?

Ya always hear on Yahoo about how no pills will work, and all the usual diet "tips" that are healthy. I need to go hiking in 13 weeks. I have no strength, a bad right knee, and severe obesity. I need a good "boot camp" exercise regime (as I only have 13 weeks to go) and.. FOOD! I read this:


"Avoid these as much as possible:


- Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)


- High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)


- Fast food


- Junk food


- White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes


- The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)"


Now, after reading THAT... what CAN I eat? HONESTLY! Everything has those ingredients in them! What do I do?? What CAN I put in my mouth??

What CAN I eat and WHAT is the very best effective exercises?
FIRST of all You are an amazing, beautiful, unique expression of God's ultimate creativity!





EAT EAT EAT - PLAY PLAY PLAY - BE BE BE





Most of these suggestions are for "as much as possible"





*Enjoy a mostly vegetarian diet.


*ORGANIC


*Natural state of foods is best


*Avoid cow's flesh and dairy. Think about cow's milk, what is it really meant for, etc.


*Avoid pig's flesh


*Eat lots of Nuts, Seeds, Beans - keep some mixed nuts in the car or your purse for quick fixes





Eat what ever you want!!!! Once what you NEED to eat is eaten. So, if you follow the vegetarian food pyramid, and you have indeed consumed everything suggested in the pyramid, go ahead, indulge yourself if you REALLY want to. Your body has everything it needs to function, to metabolize, to feel great - you don't need anything else, so your all set for your wants. Consider if you really do want it though, I mean think about - what purpose will it really serve, how long do you really want to keep this particular item in your body, is it really something that will indeed bring you pleasure, if so, go ahead, enjoy!





HOBBIES


Go ahead, buy yourself a new set of pans, a bamboo cutting board, some fine culinary knives, indulge, get some cool cook books, subscribe to vegetarian times, make it your new hobby of trying a new recipe a now and then, or a few times a week!!! Make every meal a lovely presentation - food is the vitality of your life, what and how and the way you enjoy your food comes through in every area of your life. Make it special, celebrate it, share, it, yummy good whole food. And when your done having your meal, move on to the next sacred beautiful, vital part of your life, like knowledge or cleaning, or exploring, or socializing, or volunteering, etc!





Clean your house every day. (more than is usual) There is no need for a gym membership if you are really scrubbing your house everyday! Get rid of the unwanted stuff in your life (sybolic) what you got (ate) yesturday and no longer need or want can GO! let GO in every single way you can!!! Its just STUFF!!


Clean like you have never cleaned before, empty every single closet, drawer, cabiniet, wash it out, get rid of it all, what you NEED keep, what you absolutely LOVE keep, and what SERVES you, keep!





While you are cleaning and scrubbing an hour a day or so a day, listen to audio books. Listen to books by authors like Christine Northrup, Caroline Myss, Eckhart Tolle, Joel Olsteen, ETC!!!! PLAY!! Go letter boxing - lear about it at letterboxing.org, its hiking with a mission to locate a little box - its SOOOOO fun and easy but it gets you out with NATURE doing something really cool!





If you can - and make this decision very very carefully, adopt a dog or puppy! It brings a dimension into your life that is unmatched by any othr relationship! Your new family member can go with you hiking, to the park, etc and will give you so much pleasure! He or she will accept you exactly as you are, more than that, he or she will be a loyal reminder and a constant source of unconditional love and the value of being alive!





Spoil our BODY! It is the only vehicle you have that keeps you in this place called EARTH! Giv it everything it needs, comfort it, it does not ask you for much, it is simply there holding you to your precious life like a cradle to a baby. It asks so little of you. Indulge your skin with body butter, healthy natural soaps, bubbley baths, clothing that is soft, comfy, and fits well, good shoes that support well, beautiful clothing that adorns who we are - truly are. Our body is the manner in which we present ourselves to one another. It is the welcome sign or the keep out sign, it is the "for sale" the "clearance", or the "yes, I AM WORTH" it sign. Get yourself the best sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, anything that actually touches your skin - spend the money on 400tc or sheets! you will love them (if you dont already have them)





Reassign the value in your life to appreciation, celebration, intuition, self love, receiving love, letting go of what isnt love, and adding more love. Be in the NOW. Now is the only moment, ever. It is NOW that you are a healthy strong, beautiful woman. It is NOW that you are reading this message. It is now that I am writing it. It is NOW !








DO NOT make weight loss a goal - its not a goal! It can be a consequence to being good to yourself in a complete and holistic way. STOP defining yourself as obese, Stop it with your 13 weeks. !# weeks is NOT enough, a hiking trip is NOT enough. You either want your life to be different or you don't. Life isn't going to get better, its not going to change, it simply a matterof how you want to live! A trip is only so long. You are on a trip already, the trip of LIFE, HOW DO YOU WANT TO LIVE IT? Sure, having this upcomming trip may motivate you..... but does it inspire you? INSPIRE, is this come from your Spirit? Its GREAT to have a "goal" in mind, as long as you realize that "goal" are things that come to pass, once you REACH them does the journey end? Sometimes it does. Goals ought to be used as MARKERS, not a point to reach in satisfaction!!! It is the experience of NOW that REALLY MATTERS! Let go of the GOAL! Be who YOU ARE! If you establish a lefistyle that you prefer to the one you once lived, and this happens over the next 13 weeks great, but its not about 13 weeks! Its about you. Its about YOU NOW!





Stop wanting what does not serve you, Stop HOLDING ON to what does not serve you. YOU ARE A GODDESS not to be rivaled or defined by useless junk (food, stuff, destructive people, experiences, memories, etc) You are amazing, a miracle, a person who has so much to experience, to be, to enjoy during this very sacred and profound lifetime - what are you to do with that? GO OUT THERE and feel it, be it, be profoundly beautiful RIGHT THIS MINUTE it already is, be healthy, be strong, be exactly who you are RIGHT NOW! Nothing and no one can take that away from you! YOU ARE COMPLETE.





Everthing you need, everything to know, all the right choices are built right into YOU, the "divine design" is a complete source of wisdom, strength, abundance, love, etc" You have intuition. Follow your knowing, LISTEN to your own self. I mean REALY LISTEN.








Ok, all that said. Be sure to get in touch with people who share your appreciation for yourself, who are positive, like minded, and by nature contribute to your sense of well being!

Reply:The most ideal and healthiest way to lose weight is to NOT make food the enemy.


One must eat 6 meals a day, broken down as 3 regular-sized meals (dinner being the smallest portion) and 3 snacks. Eating 6 meals a day tricks your body into being full, especially if you eat fiber and protein. Fiber gives you the feeling of fullness and protein helps muscle growth allowing for either buildup or toning (whichever you go to the gym for).





There are certain things you can eat and certain things you must eat in moderation, but DO NOT TAKE AWAY your cravings, otherwise that leads to a "secret affair with the box of chocolates and bowl of ice cream indulgence" hahaha... If your hungry every other hour, try a whey or soy protein shake, especially during that long gap between lunch and dinner (the afternoon snack) it will keep you full until then and prepares you for the gym. Protein goes straight to muscles, it doesn't make you gain weight it actually helps you burn fat and tone muscles.





Everything you said above is correct, except for the things that start with the letter "C," just cut it down in moderation, otherwise once you persay "get off the diet" you will bloat more than before only because you did not ADJUST your life to eating such a thing!





Take a look at a food pyramid that's what you need to include daily diet. Go in your kitchen and prepare yourself...don't eat out so much because you don't exactly know how much harmful things you are eating....





If you are going to eat out have light portions of either grilled fish or chicken. You MUST watch out because some restaurants say less calories but pack that meal up with tons of salt. Read "Eat this not that" (look it up in yahoo, its on a men's health website).





At the gym: Cardio %26amp; Weight Train


Cardio: Don't kill yourself on the 1st day...You must build endurance! Start off walking, move up to brisk walking...incline walking, jogging than running (broken down into several weeks). (25 - 45 mins)





Weight Training: Once again don't kill yourself for it, start with low weights and don't go up so high...most women are looking for toned body's not bulk ones. When you move up in a weight do more repititions in your sets to tone not bulk.


-Important: don't work out the same muscles everyday, you can strain and wear them out...EXAMPLE: M/W/F: Upper Body and Tu/Th: Lower body. M/W/F: Ab workouts....re-arrange to your pleasure. Once you get up to running (keep it to certain days not everyday...brisk walkon other days)





Eat healthy...Crave in Moderation...%26amp;...Exercise Daily =]
