I will be having my second child in December and will have about 80 pounds to lose. I love to run(or at least used to before I got all fat and out of shape from being pregnant twice...although it was more than worth it!) and with working full-time and having an 18 month old and a newborn, my easiest form of exercise will be to run on the treadmill we have at home 45 minutes a day, rather than going to a gym. I am just curious if I combine that with a healthy diet(I will go on a 1700 calorie diet b/c I will be nursing and I have learned that you burn 500 calories a day from that, so I will basically be on a 1200 calorie diet) if that should be enough to at least lose most of the weight. Thank you!
Is running effective enough to be used alone?
Running can be a great exercise by itself. Ever seen a fat cross-country runner? How many porkers win the Boston marathon?
Reply:yes thats very good also do a god diet special k diet is good drink 8 cups of water a day
Reply:i heard just 30 minutes of walking or any physical excercise a day will be enough to keep you healthy. you just have to consistent with your workout. i'm not a big believer on diets, but then again my eating habit isn't very good, so being consistent with your workout and intake of food will do.
Reply:Running and sweating is excellent .Keep at it and you will lose weight all over. The only draw back is it is high impact on the knees and feet.
